Yesterday's event was very interesting, with a bit of a shaky start after I found out that the Atrium is now non-existent. I soon sorted it out though with help from Les, the Technician and other staff at Confetti, as well as the fellow gamers. We managed to book out S205 upstairs at the last minute and we got the console and all of the necessary cables, so we were ready to play.
GS8-1 and GS8-2 united once again, with Calum/Callum from First Diploma Media. The GS8-1 members were quiet at first but we were all chatting nicely at the end of the night.
We played Soul Calibre for half an hour, but Halo 3 for the rest of the night. "Hammer-Time" was a major highlight of the night, but so many funny things happened that I can't possibly mention them all.
I strongly recommend that the rest of GS8 join in next Wednesday, with Bob leading the group while Nate and myself are in Berlin (hopefully if it's not too snowy to travel).

One Month On...
Hello readers, Merry Christmas and a happy new year! I hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready to work hard this term, I am.
I bought six PlayStation 2 games after Christmas, they're getting cheap these days.
I bought:
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
(For a bargain price of £1.95, brand new from Game in town)
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Jak II: Renegade
Jak 3
Killer 7
Killzone
There are reasons why I bought all of these games, some have great character design, others have great storytelling and back-story, and others just have a unique style. All useful in preparation for my game design task. Plus I wanted to buy Killzone to understand the story before the sequel is released next month.
Moving on, I have no reasonable explanation as to why I didn't blog over the holiday season, thinking back, I don't know why I didn't.
Just because I can, and I'm weird like that, I have some YouTube videos for my blogging comrades. Some of these (probably all of them except the last one) may be offensive to minors, so lock away your children. Most of them are kinda funny, but I enjoyed watching all of them anyway.
To keep it simple, I'll list these in alphabetical order. If you're not in the list, don't be offended! Just know that I didn't add you because you don't blog regularly. Yes I'm that harsh. :O
Bob: Ling Ling's Song
Joe: Gay Zombies
Johnny G: Horde Vs. Alliance
Kiwi: Pac-Man Cereal Advert (Early 80s)
Nathan: Harry Hill 's TV Burp - The Apprentice (again)
Ryan: Call of Duty 4 Review
by Yahtzee (His game reviews are almost always negative)
Last but not least,
Miss: Repetitive Caramelldansen-ness
In other news, I'm taking the role of "Organiser" of the After-Hours Gaming; that will be running on a Wednesday or Friday night at 6pm, I haven't sorted out when it will be yet. I'm also hoping to get the podcast up and running again, after some confusion and forgetfulness last term. My Gamelog is now up, it looks the same as this blog, but without the widgets and posts of course. That will be updated when I start one of my new PS2 games, because I haven't played on any of them yet.
If you read all this and watched all/most of the videos then congratulations to you. Thanks for paying attention for this long.
Oh yeah, a final note, I updated the music on the blog too, the theme this time is fire of course. But you already knew that didn't you.
Tracklist (It's on shuffle, but you should be able to guess who's who. Plus, it displays artist and track on the player if you look closely):
Franz Ferdinand - This Fire
Jimi Hendrix - Fire
Johnny Cash - Ring Of Fire
The Ink Spots - I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire (Fallout 3 Soundtrack)
Keep Warm this Winter! :D

I'm Back
I've been away for a week, and I missed posting on the blog, there are so many things I want to document.
Voldo. End of.
But seriously, "After-Hours Gaming" as it shall now be known, is great. I recommend that everyone go and have a good time. It was my first time last Thursday and it was really good, even though I'm rubbish at fighting games. We played Halo anyway. Nate already listed all of the interesting stuff that happened. :D Anime Club is great too. Hi Bob, if you are reading this, I thought you said you wanted to get into anime?! There's no better place to start than Anime Club. Studio Ghibli films are some of my favourites.
What else has been happening? I got my own brand new desktop computer, it's a change for the better when compared with using a family computer. I'd rather not share because my brother is on iTunes all the time at weekends.
I'm pretty sure I had loads to talk about but I've forgotten.
By the way, "Gaming Video of the Week" will not be posted anymore, I'm not co-ordinated enough to keep up to date. I'll just post a video every now and again. Or you could check out my Youtube user page.
The podcast is on, I still don't know what to call it. I'll have to discuss it tomorrow. If you want to get involved, let me know.
Oh, I remember now, I was going to mention last week's Death Burger Challenge. It was Beardo's turn and he managed to achieve a time of 4:33! An improvement on Nate's time of 5:15. The battle is on as a new contender steps up, DogSuit. Everyone shall have a nickname! BWAHAHAHA

Massive Mega Monday post...but it's Tuesday
When thinking about my blog, I tend to think that I post a lot, but I really don't post that much. (Compared to Bob and Nate anyway)
Anyway, I shall talk about recent college occurrences. After completing and handing in my late assignment, I get to make a long post on this blog about nothing in particular, as usual. I'm happy to see my classmates progressing with image editing software, and I really need to put in some effort to make a good website in my spare time. I'm glad my Mum did a computer course in web design, she can help me out designing a good website. :P
The not so controversial poll of my blog has been closed, most people voted that they like animé and watch it regularly. Someone said they didn't like it, but I can't work out who it was. I don't think it was anyone from GS8-2. Hmm... maybe I'm wrong.
More news, Cookie-taicho (Captain Cookie :P) broke the Double Death Burger record! He managed to eat the burger in 5:15 and shave nine seconds off his previous time of 5:24. (He also shaved two years off his lifespan XD)
The pressure is on for next week's potential contender, Beardo.
Even more news, I added a new music player to the top of the page, it is currently playing the Bleach Soundtrack on shuffle (Bleach is an animé series if you didn't know). The same rules apply as usual, if you want to stop the music, click the pause button. This is advisable if you're watching a video on my blog.
See you in the next post. :D
