Please excuse the insane title, but this thing has to be mentioned. Before you read the rest of the post, if you don't know what one is, (I didn't until last week) I suggest you watch this video of a POWERBALL!!! in action. This video makes me laugh! :D
This whole thing started a few weeks ago when I noticed my wrists clicking when I moved them, and how boney they are compared to the rest of my arm, so I looked for a solution.
I bought a powerball on Monday, it arrived on Thursday and I'm completely hooked! You put the ball in your hand, start it up and rotate your hand. The gyroscope inside the ball rotates in unison with the rotation of your hand. Your arm, hand and wrist muscles receive a workout as you spin the ball faster. It's so much easier than using weights, and I can just wander round the house spinning the powerball in my hand. Anyway, before this post becomes an advertisement for Powerball, I must move on to something else. I haven't really got much else to say, but I can comment on the infamous Kiwi, who is currently recruiting people to follow his blog.

Computers and Confusion
Let's start with computers. On wednesday my computer refused to start up Windows, and showed me a black screen. I tried, but it wasn't possible to fix. So I formatted it. Stupid thing. I call it stupid, yet I'm typing this post on it. Oh the irony! At least I should be getting a new one soon.
Confusion... well let's just leave that there.

Gaming Video of the Week - 24/11/2008.
Ermm... I'm a bit late with this but here is the gaming video of the week, and last week, and the week before. Three videos! All three videos are courtesy of FourPlayerPodcast, again. The theme is bears. Well except for the last one.
WARNING! Videos may contain strong language and scenes of violence, often towards bears, and a lion. Oh, a guy too.
Remember, you can use the full screen feature as well. Enjoy!

This second video is footage of someone doing a "bearrel roll", which is an adaptation on the classic internet catchphrase "do a barrel roll", but it involves rolling bears around, usually down hills. Here's the video.
Footage is from the game "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion".

Massive Mega Monday post...but it's Tuesday
When thinking about my blog, I tend to think that I post a lot, but I really don't post that much. (Compared to Bob and Nate anyway)
Anyway, I shall talk about recent college occurrences. After completing and handing in my late assignment, I get to make a long post on this blog about nothing in particular, as usual. I'm happy to see my classmates progressing with image editing software, and I really need to put in some effort to make a good website in my spare time. I'm glad my Mum did a computer course in web design, she can help me out designing a good website. :P
The not so controversial poll of my blog has been closed, most people voted that they like animé and watch it regularly. Someone said they didn't like it, but I can't work out who it was. I don't think it was anyone from GS8-2. Hmm... maybe I'm wrong.
More news, Cookie-taicho (Captain Cookie :P) broke the Double Death Burger record! He managed to eat the burger in 5:15 and shave nine seconds off his previous time of 5:24. (He also shaved two years off his lifespan XD)
The pressure is on for next week's potential contender, Beardo.
Even more news, I added a new music player to the top of the page, it is currently playing the Bleach Soundtrack on shuffle (Bleach is an animé series if you didn't know). The same rules apply as usual, if you want to stop the music, click the pause button. This is advisable if you're watching a video on my blog.
See you in the next post. :D

Sticking to deadlines is difficult.
I'm hereby going to hand in my assignment on Tuesday instead. Sorry!
Lesson learned. It won't happen again. Like Kelly said in her recent post, read the deadlines!
Last Tuesday, bRyan reminded me that we all had an assignment to hand in by Friday, and just over one day to complete it is not enough for me. We had college on Thursday. So I only had Wednesday, and Thursday night to complete it. Not enough time for me, but it's my own fault for forgetting the deadline! I'm going to spend all weekend getting it done now.
I assume that at least half of GS8-2 have completed the assignment, and are submitting it today. Well done guys! Kudos to bRyan for checking the deadlines and being ahead of the game.

Harry Hill Vs. The Apprentice
After watching Nate's video of Harry Hill, I felt like providing even more entertainment from Harry Hill, here is a couple of videos from his show, TV Burp. This is also to compensate for my lack of "gaming video of the week", which will be up on Monday.
Watch the first video before the second one. :D

Poll Results and Fishy Business
The poll results (John Glover for President) are in, the majority of votes were for, "absolutely". This seems a bit strange if you ask me, but I only voted once, and I don't know who voted. Forget these John Glover polls, you're not the favourite anymore John! You need to be in class a bit more! But you don't need me to tell you that.
Anyway, recent events.
There are about 3 or 4 assignments coming up in the next month or two, which is quite worrying since I haven't started any of them. Eek. Well I'll try and complete them to a high standard and all that. Good luck to everyone else, put in the work and you'll feel the benefit. ;D
By the way, I've put up a new poll, it's not exactly controversial, and it's different too.

Keeping It Relevant
Is it just me, or am I wrong? I'm sure these blogs are supposed to be for "documenting academic progress" or something like that.
On my blog so far, I've had Ronald McDonald, Ghosts, Rick Astley, John Glover and posts about new games I've bought. None of that is relevant to my "academic progress", so here goes.
I got my results from the assignment and without giving too much away, I'm happy with them. I'm not looking forward to the presenting part, because my presentation is shorter than everyone else's, and some people may wonder why I got the mark that I did. I was really surprised!
But anyway, before I go to sleep, (it's nearly 1am!) I must inform you that I'll be going on a killing spree some time this week because I've been negatively influenced by Grand Theft Auto. So I won't be in college on Tuesday.
(Read the comments on the most recent posts on Nate's blog. Read his posts too!).
Bye bye.
P.S. Where is the relevance in that last part?! XO

Say Hi to Rick
If you haven't seen this video, where have you been?! This is one of the most popular and well known internet memes. If you need more information, check out the Wikipedia page: Rickrolling
To coincide with Nate's track of the week, here is the music video, and below it, an 8-bit version?! OK then.
Look closely in the first video and you should notice a young Barack Obama, dancing around. Lol. It's not really him by the way :P
Try turning off the sound on the video, and leave the Mortal Kombat music on.

It's Over. The Favourite is JTG.
If you missed it, was there was a fairly controversial poll posted here last week, and results are now in. With six votes, the winner is the legendary John Glover (JTG). Who else?! Most people were voting for themselves anyway, and without mentioning any names, some people were voting for JTG two or three times. You know who you are!
After the constant reminder that “the favourite changes every week”, the poll was kind of irrelevant, but I got a new follower out of it! Thanks bRyan.
Just in case anybody got defensive on the comments, the poll wasn't about the best person in the class, it was fixed from the start. I know, I'm sorry. He had to win because he is the favourite. That's just his name.
Where is the infamous JTG anyway? Did anyone see him at Confetti yesterday (Monday)?

Tiny Giant Planet
Tiny Giant Planet has been released and I got my copy yesterday, after pre-ordering it. I was promised a free t-shirt with my pre-order, and the guy working at Gamestation nearly forgot about it, so I had to ask him about it. He wrote a little note on my receipt which said "to collect t-shirt". I'm sure that if I didn't ask, I wouldn't have got one. I bet it's a rubbish t-shirt anyway.
It was definitely worth the money, even though I've almost completed the story.
But who cares about the story mode anyway? It's all about making your OWN levels and playing other people's. I played a level which was based on the upcoming game Mirror's Edge. It was a pretty good level too. I hearted it, whatever that means. If this was some kind of epic blog with loads of followers, I would write a review for the game.
People, you know what to do :P
P.S. I've added a new music track to the blog, it's "My Patch" by Jim Noir, taken from LittleBigPlanet. Thank goodness I got rid of that green music player, it was horrible! Tried to go with the "Fallout 3 look", but it just didn't match did it? Bye bye.

Who is "The Favourite"?
I have just added this week's poll.
Who is "The Favourite" in GS8-2? That title still doesn't sound right to me. Hmm...
Well the poll is over there by the way. >>>>

Gaming Video of the Week
Every Monday I will be posting a gaming video that has recently caught my attention. I know it's Sunday, and not Monday, but in my previous post I said I would post a video today, and here it is.
This is a personal favourite of mine, made by some American guys who often run a live gaming feed called "FourPlayerPodcast". It would probably be best to watch this in a dark and quiet room with the speakers turned up for added effect.
This video contains strong language and scenes that some viewers may find offensive. LOL.

Fallout 3
It has arrived, to consume every last minute of my free time. Now is not exactly the best time to have this game, when you consider how many assignments I have got to do. But Fallout 3 has arrived, and it must be acknowledged. I've played five hours so far and I've only just managed to set out on my first proper quest. The reason for that would be the amount of things you can do! I've mainly been loitering around the town of "Megaton" and talking to people about random things.
But a personal highlight of the game so far was when I went to the local shop. (I've been playing the whole game so far as a good guy, so I decided to be a bad guy, but not save the game!) Anyway I went to the back of the shop and looked through some boxes, until I found a pair of pyjamas. I took them (stole them shhh....), put them on, and went on a "baseball bat rampage". Not as horrific as it sounds, but the residents didn't like it when I chased them round the town!
I think that this is my longest post so far, I was going to embed a funny video made by the guys of "FourPlayerPodcast" but I'll upload that tomorrow instead and give people time to read this "mammoth" post.
In a bizzle!
